Synchrony Financial Credit card department,
Customer service / Customer relations Pennsylvania
I applied for a Value City Furniture card about a year ago as I was about ready to purchase a house. Some complication arose and I had to postpone my buy till next month. Now I contacted Synchrony twice to inquire when they would shut down the card due to inactivity. I spoke to - csr on two separate occasions and was told 2 years and 18 months. Well about a year after the card was open, I get a credit alert that my card has been closed this weekend, and it has been nowhere near 2 years or even 18 months. I am infuriated as I thought I took measures for this not to happen, but due to - csr who both gave me bad information, my card if now closed and I will have to figure out another way to buy furniture. I have already talked to more incompetent csr who say nothing can be done. If there is anything you can do I would appreciate it. I am just baffled as I took every step to make sure this did n't happen, but poor employee 's get my card shut down. The reason I asked was because I would have bought something small to keep the card open, which was why I asked on two separate occasions.
