I opened several accounts at the -, NY Chase branch on - - : checking, savings and - credit cards. I already had a credit card with them. I completed all the documentation with the banker and provided all the original ID required ( SS, driver license, passport ). He scanned everything and I went home. He called me the next day and said he forgot to ask me to write my name on some form. I went back to the branch, completed a brand new form and left. A month later, I received a letter from Chase saying they coul n't verify my SS. I called them to ask what it was about since the banker had had my SS twice in his very own hands and scanned it twice. I had to complete another form and I took it ( again ) to the branch. The banker called the service responsible for this situation and asked them what he should do. They told him to send ( again ) the form with the scanned SS and other ID, which he did in front of me. After wasting a few hours on this matter, I thought the matter was
On - -, I checked my accounts on Chase website and discovered my - credit cards accounts had been closed without any warning. I called customer service and they were unable to give me a reason why they would do that. On - -, I went to the local branch, my banker called them and those idiots said they had n't received the completed SS verification form that was sent them THREE TIMES. So I completed the same form all over again, the same banker scanned the same SS card and send it to the same idiots. My banker apologized profusely and told me everything would be back to normal within two days ( that is what he was told over the phone ). The next day, I discovered my banking and savings accounts had also been frozen without any reason nor warning. I finally received on Friday - letters, - dated - - and the other without any date, stating my accounts had been frozen and/or closed because they could n't verify my SSN. Fed up with wasting my time going to the branch, I called my banker so he would take care of the situation. He went back to me and said my checking and savings accounts had been unlocked and the credit cards would be restored within 5 business days. That should have been on - -, over a week ago.
