I received a phone call @ my place of work from " Fidelity Creditor Service ''. A woman by the name of - informed me that I owe a debt that originated in - from the year -/-/- the company 's name is " - - - ''. She claims that it is for $22000.00. - proceeded to threaten me with a judgement, attachment of my assets. When i asked why i have not received any invoice or request to pay via mail, she rudely stated " it 's public record..look it up '' and gave me the case #. When I asked how could this debt still be outstanding, again in a rude voice " this debt is renewed every - in the state of - " I told her i do not even live in Ca. and if this debt as you say has my ex-husband 's signature on it, I have not been in contact with him for years. She proceeded to pressure me to provide his contact info to her. I told her I need her to mail me this proof of debt. After this unsettling claim, I did my research and found numerous complaints about this company as well as a news piece by investigative reporter " - - '' that aired - 2012 : -
