I have had - credit cards from the same banking institution for many years. - has an interest rate almost double of the other -. I wanted to get that higher rate lowered at least a little bit. I hit a brick wall when calling the Customer Service number on the back of the card. I went to a local branch and spoke with the Branch Manager. He was very helpful and informative and said he 'd contact his counterparts in the Credit Card Division and see what could be done. He called me back within 24 hours saying he 'd hit the same brick wall. The Credit Division was adamant in their stance that the rate remain at almost 25 % when the other - cards were lower than 12 %. I want to know why they wo n't even talk to me or the Branch Manager about how to get the interest rate lowered.
