Non-federal student loan Can't repay my loan Can't decrease my monthly payments Florida
I would like an audit of all the funds that I have paid into - - n/k/a Navient, especially on how they calculate interest. By my simple math, I have paid $15000.00 since -/-/11 on a loan that only totals $30000.00 and I have not seen the principle balance go down not once. How can this much interest be charged and calculated so crazily. I do n't trust Navient 's math and I would like to see how they calculate my interest so that even though I have paid $15000.00 over the past 5 years, my loan balance refuses to budge. I have a car, with higher interest rate than my student loans and I only have to pay that for 5 years. How is this legal? Where is the oversight? Who can audit this account to make sure that no funny math is being used. Over the next 15 years, at this rate, i will have paid over $60000.00 for a loan that is only half that amount. How can my interest rate flux between 9 % and 10 % and yet the balance never goes down. Please check the numbers as something is n't right.
