I disputed TD Auto finance on my credit report because it was reporting that I was delinquent after the account was discharged and closed since 2010. After the credit agency contacted TD Auto, they reopened my account and updated it as delinquent with several late payments and the previous - balance updated to $2500.00. Then two days later, TD Auto reclosed the account. This cost me a drop of - points to my credit score. This has to be illegal. I should not have been penalized for disputing a charge on my credit report, but I was! Please help!
