Consumer Portfolio Services Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Managing the loan or lease Pennsylvania
I have a car loan through Consumer Portfolio Services. I signed the loan paper through the car dealership to pay the car off after a certain number of payments. However, I do not understand how this company works. Each time I make a payment they change the amount of money that they take of the amount of the loan and how much they charge in interest. For instance one month they took off $58.00 the principal the next month they took of -, the next month $140.00, then another month $0.00. At the rate this is going I will never pay off this car loan. I feel as though I am a victim of predatory lending. Also, twice I had an issue making a payment. I set up automatic payment to be drafted out of my bank account online. It was never drafted out of my account when I set it up to come out so I had to go online and make a manual payment which cost approx $7.00. Then recently I made an online payment with an e-check and the check was returned. I went back into my email to check the confirmation and I noticed that under the account number it had for my bank account it had my husbands social security number. There is no way I would put my husbands social security number in for my bank account number. I feel like I have been set up twice to have my payments not go through twice and have to pay a fee. I am extremely unhappy with this company.
