JPMorgan Chase & Co. Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Shopping for a loan or lease Illinois
I went into - in - IL on -/-/- to test drive a - Mazda 3. I told the sales consultant - - that I only wanted to do a test drive and I was not interested in buying a car that day. I also advised the dealership that I am a victim of identity theft and I did n't want multiple inquiries on my credit. I found out later there were - inquiries on there. I found out about 3 months later because I verbally complained to Chase that Mazda Capital Services was part of Chase Bank which no one from the dealership told me. I called Chase because I was upset about the inquiry, - from Chase advised me the dealership should have disclosed that information. She tried to get the inquiry removed but the sales manager - claims they did not do anything wrong. She also advised me the way the system is set up, the first inquiry is from the dealership and the second one is from Chase and advised me the dealership was suppose to tell me that. I found out this information on -/-/- after I purchased my vehicle from them on -/-/-. The general manager - - claims I gave permission to have my credit ran. I am upset the dealership did not disclose all of the information. I spoke with the finance manager, - and he never advised anything about Chase approving the loan. I was advised by an attorney to file a complaint here because this is considered to be fraud.I have documented several conservations with - that advised the dealership was suppose to disclose that information to the consumer since the loan was approved.
