This is regarding Navient. I have two complaints against them ; 1 ) they misled me on late fees, 2 ) they will not offer flexible payment options even though I told them my income varies week to week as a -, and that in the - I am unemployed, as - are not salaried like -. I was put into a Rate Reduction Program from -. I was told I can pick my own payment dates, I picked the end of every month as the due date. I gave them my bank account number so the payment is debited every month at the end of the month. When I logged into my account online I see that I was consistently charged a late fee of $6.00, and overall, my payments were applied to interests and other unspecified " fees '' that were not explained. Out of the $130.00 I pay monthly, very little if at all goes to the principal. Secondly, when I called them to extend the reduced payments, and to ask about the fees I see online, I was laughed at by customer service, and rebuffed by the supervisor. I was denied an extension of the reduced rate, and my monthly payments will go up despite my income being the same. Please help!
