Ford Motor Credit Company Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Virginia
I purchased a vehicle in - and financed it with Primus financing the car was voluntarily repossessed because of an accident that occurred, and so I had to pay the balance of the loan off anyway. So from the time that I repossessed the car until it was paid off this was around - I believed that it was entirely pay off I had a statement from them on the stated how much I have paid but it was upwards towards $10000.00. So I thought that it had been paid in its entirety. So now - years later I get a letter that states that I owed them an additional $270.00. The letter stated that it was from a law firm in - Maryland, This -, MD -. They are charging me $1200.00 for lawyers fees and court costs, which brought the total to $1900.00. So I want to know how they can do this without notifying me of the $270.00 which I would have gladly just paid off if they had proved to me that I still owed it. Now they are garnishing my paycheck and I only make $10.00 an hour and they are now taking - dollars a week out of my check.
