Closing/Cancelling account North Carolina
On -/-/2016, I mailed a cashier 's check in the amount of $520.00 to Continental Finance to payoff the balance of a credit card account. Also, on -/-/2016, within the same correspondence, I requested that the issuer close my account and send verification that the account has been closed. This has yet to occur. On -/-/2016, I sent another letter to the credit card issuer requesting closure of my account, and as of -/-/2016 the account is still open. I do not understand why this bank refuses to close my account.
