JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
I made - purchases on -, on - - and - -, 2015, for $150.00 each, using a credit card from Chase bank. These were purchases, but Chase insists that they were cash advances, and accordingly charged me a $10.00 cash advance transaction fee and a higher cash advance interest rate. After I confronted Chase with a statement from - saying that - does not process cash advances, and threatened to file a complaint with the CFPB, they refunded my transaction fees as a " courtesy, '' but continue to insist that they were cash advances ( although I received no cash or anything similar from the transactions ) and continue to charge me interest on these transaction at the higher cash advance rate. Interestingly, on my annual summary Chase correctly classifies these transactions as the purchase of a service, while nevertheless insisting in correspondence that they were cash advances. I would like these transactions reclassified as purchases ( consistent with - 's classification ), and excess interest charged refunded to my account.
