The business I am complaining about is JPMorgan Chase - Bank. The branch I use is at - - - - - - FL - My husband and I have been long standing customers of this bank. We have our Social Security deposited into it. We have a checking account there which carries a fairly good balance. On Tues. - - 2016 we wrote a check to someone for $60.00. We told her she could just go to the corner and cash it as that was our bank. When she tried to cash it they wanted to charge her $8.00. to cash it as she did not have an account there. As their customer I feel I should be able to give - of my checks to whomever I please and they should be able to go to my bank and cash it without a hassle. It is my money and I pay to use their checking


have the privilege of using that account to pay for something without an additional charge. I want the bank to cash my checks for anyone I write them to. If the person I write a check to wants cash they should be able to get it without an extra charge as I am the bank 's customer. If they can not do business in a honorable way I will have to move my business elsewhere and become very verbal about their tacky business practice. This is an outrageous policy and needs to be dropped. It certainly does not give any service to their customers.
