Closing/Cancelling account Louisiana
I am not sure if this should be a credit card complaint or a bank complaint. I currently have a business account with Chase which is being closed citing the following : " This decision is not a reflection of your business or how you have handled your accounts and it does not affect any personal banking relationships you may have with JPMorgan Chase or its affiliates. We apologize for the inconvenience this business decision causes and want to help you transition your accounts. '' I have done some research online and I assume my account is being closed because my business involves - or because I am registered with - as a -. Most banks consider - as high risk, however I have not had any incidentals with this account. I now know that my account requires more maintenance and is more expensive than other accounts, so I understand the banks decisions to end our relationship. However, I have since received a letter from Chase about my personal Credit Card account : " After careful consideration, we closed your credit card account on - -, 2016, because our affiliate is ending its banking relationship with you. '' I assume this must be a mistake or oversight since the first letter said it would " not affect any personal banking relationships [ I ] may have with JPMorgan Chase or its affiliates '' and this letter says it is because " our affiliate is ending its banking relationship. '' My personal Chase Sapphire Preferred has never been used in relation to - or for anything related to my - checking account. I assume this error is the result of a banker ticking the wrong box or something. My brother is my partner in our - business and was linked to our business account. His personal bank account which also had nothing to do with - or our - was also closed. Also, my Reward Points worth approximately $1500.00 will be voided 30 days after my account closure.
