Installment loan Problems when you are unable to pay California

I am a veteran and have sought out VA Home loan financing. I was advised because GE capital retail bank is reporting a Walmart charge off collection account in my name and so is SYNCB/Walmart reporting the same account as a duplicate that my credit score has dropped significantly so the funding has been suspended till this error gets corrected. I called Syncb bank # - manager - -. I was told that GE and Syncb is the same company they just changed there names to Syncb. I was advised that they would be submitting a e-oscar to delete the GE capital collection trade. Today -/-/2016 when I called to follow up I was told they were n't doing anything and that the duplicate reporting will stand.
