Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low California
I 've been a member of USAA since I was a - in 1988. I started banking with USAA about 5 years ago. My complaint is they charge $25.00 overdraft fees even though I had sufficient funds available the day the transactions posted and were recorded on my on-line bank statement. I had - OD fees of $25.00 each charged in -/-/- for transactions as low as $3.00 and no more than $37.00 and it was only a matter of hours before funds were available as deposits arrived the same day the fees posted on my account. This is a gross example of loan sharking. Transactions are authorized, posted and cleared in a manner that favors the banks and hurts the consumer and makes the bank money via fees. They should n't be allowed to charge $25.00 to loan $3.00 for a few hours. This is predatory lending at its worst.
