I received a letter from Chase stating that they are closing my credit card account. Moreover, the letter states that the reason for the closure is " because continuing the relationship creates possible reputational risk to our company ''. First of all, I have no idea or understanding of the meaning to this reason at all. I have been a loyal customer that has never missed a payment ever and who maintains a great payment history on this account. I contacted the office number provided and spoke to a representative who states he could n't provide any specific information used to make the decision but did recommend that I write this letter to further inquire about this action. If so, I strongly object to this because there is no such information either personal or business reported against me on the internet or any other source that would cause Chase to be concern about its own reputation as a company. Furthermore, the history of Chase and all of its mortgage fraud related issues with the Federal Government stemming from the Mortgage Crisis between -/-/- thru -/-/- did not keep me from having a relationship with Chase. As such, I demanded for full and immediate disclosure ; 1 ) Specific and detailed information obtained by Chase regarding myself personally or my business leading to this decision. 2 ) A copy of the credit agreement signed by myself with the terms and conditions of our relationship for this credit card account. 3 ) The specific language or section under the credit agreement which supports or authorizes Chase to take such unprovoked action.
