I received a call the morning of Wednesday, - -, 2016 from a Chase Credit Card representative explaining to me that my monthly payment for my credit card ending in - was past due for the month of - 2016 and I now owed the company a payment of $110.00 ( inclusive of the regular monthly payment that I send which is $85.00 and the $45.00 minimum payment that they claim I failed to make for - 2016 ). I explained to the representative that these payments are set-up with my credit union on automatic bill pay, so I was sure that my payment for the month of - was sent to them in - of 2016. My bill is usually due on the - of every month and my auto bill pay is set up to make payment on the account in advance, as my monthly statements will show. The representative than explained to me that because my - payment for the - bill posted before the - - ( which on my statement it shows it posted on the - - -hmm ) that particular payment was applied to my - statement, thereby deeming my - payment as unpaid. I find it to be very unfair that I 'm being harassed, accused of not making a payment and regarded as fiscally not responsible because I made an early payment and the credit card company made the decision without my consent or at least a courtesy call to apply my payment to the same monthly statement for which they had already received payment.
