I contacted my student loan servicer Navient in orde to get affordable payments arranged for my student loan. After long painful discussions with several representative they made it clear that based on their terms are the only options available regardless of what i could not afford. They took my financial information my expense information which left me with almost $180.00 a month. I was willing to pay $75.00 amonth which left me the remainder for foodand, clothing and out of pocket expenses. They were not willing to be flexible and were demanding $190.00 a month to pay for the loan which leaves me with no money for out of pocket or food expense. I expressed the reasons explicitly to why i could not agree to that amount based on my well being and for agreeing to a payment i could not afford. Their solution was to either agree to making a payment that I can not afford and/or keep the lian the way it is at $ - month and default because i cant afford to make the payment thry want. They transferred me to several representatives who were rude, hostile, and lacked customer service and would not accept a the payments i wanted to honor. The last representative was unprofessional enough that he hung up on me without taking my payment or coming to a middle ground on my account status. How does one repay a debt to a company who promotes " honoring hardships '' and not willing to accept any flexibility for low income borrowers. This company is misrepresenting what they say they stand for. This company is mistreating and taking advantage of loan debtors who are willing to repay their loans.
