PayPal Holdings, Inc. Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card District of Columbia
My Paypal account was somehow switched to PayPal Credit account last year. I do n't recall requesting this credit and I never authorized PayPal to start billing my PayPal purchases to the PayPal Credit. I was not paying attention to how this was being billed, and never got any monthly statements for this new credit product. Last week, I was sent a bill for my PayPal Credit balance, and it was very high, but I just paid off the balance. I think you should advise PayPal to NOT unilaterally switch customer payment options to Credit. It should be very clear that customers are now paying with credit rather than directly debiting from their bank accounts. I believe this was a predatory lending practice and I am sure other consumers have been tricked into using PayPal Credit against their wishes. Thanks, - -
