PayPal Holdings, Inc. Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card New Mexico
Hi! PayPal Credit is engaging in misleading and predatory practices. In paying for an ebay purchase, I inadvertently and somehow signed up for PayPal Credit on a " Promotional Financing '' offer. Rather than using my checking acct. via debit card, which is what I had checked, PayPal used credit on the first " sign up '', and on several subsequent occasions, despite me checking " PayPal '', not " PayPal Credit ''. PayPal checks, then unchecks my choice of payment, and puts the purchase on credit. I have emailed PayPal with my complaint, and received no response. PayPal 's " Promotional Financing Offer '' is no payment/interest free for 6 mos., then they start charging 19.99 % from date of posting, a few days after purchase, if you do n't pay off the entire balance. This reminds me of the medical " - - '' scam, but at lease medical expenses can be paid. No consumer needs a sneaky credit scam to buy stuff on ebay! Please investigate - this is just wrong. Thank you.
