Mortgage False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount Indiana
I responded per the FDCP Act Validations of debts with a phone call. I attempted to advise the company that this is an open court case that has no decision for any debt owed. I was told I had no rights unless I was an attorney. When I read the Fair Credit Act I was told they would continue to collect in violation of my call. The letter is dated -/-/2016 and my call was placed -/-/2016 after receiving the mailing. The representative first did not identify herself then said her name was -. When I told her she was violating the act and my rights as a consumer requesting to speak with a supervisor, she placed me on hold and then came back and hung up. When I called back the phone call was sent to voice mail and I did leave a message letting them again know this was an unlawful harassment and that I did not consent to third party involvement in an open court case and that it required settlement in court.
