Synchrony Financial Consumer Loan department,
Installment loan Managing the loan or lease Florida
I have made several E-TRA payments in the amount of $500.00 each. There were no late payments or any in arrears. These payments were made with the directive of " apply to Principal only ''. As I noticed, they have been also charging interest on these extra payments. I called them and they told me they deduct interest on each payment made. I originally owed G E Credit for the dental work. They sold it to Synchrony -. When Synchrony Bank started taking my payments, they jacked the interest rate to 28.9 % and they also started charging me $89.00 for security purposes. After several months, after noticing my amount owed was increasing rather than going lower I called and asked why. They explained and said the would discontinue this charge. That 's when I decided to make extra payments, to lower the bill. I made - extra payments of $500.00 and noticed they did not apply the payment to the principle balance and charged me interest on the extra payments. I will attach a bill showing the interest deduction.
