Ford Motor Credit Company Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Managing the loan or lease Texas
I have my car loan with Ford Credit. My account number -. On -/-/-, I went on line to make my -/-/- payment but the on line payment screen indicated my account was current and my next payment due date was -/-/-. I have attached a copy of the screen shot for your reference. As a result, I did not remit my -/-/- payment. Again, the on line screen showed that my account was current and a payment was not due. I thought that either Ford was offering some type of skip a payment since my due date was showing as -/-/- or that since I had been making payments every two weeks ( 1/2 total payment paid every two weeks ) that my loan was truly paid current. Just recently, I received a letter from Ford advising that my account was past due. I contacted Ford today, -/-/-, to ask how my account was now showing past due if on -/-/- my account was showing current. Please note my payment is due on the - of each month. The customer service representative told me she did not know why the on line screen would have showed that my payment
them was not true ; however, please refer to the screen shot I have attached. I asked if they would allow me some extra time to remit the -/-/- payment as the -/-/- payment was due next week. I was told I must make the payment immediately - no later than -/-/- ) or they would report the payment past due to the credit bureau. Ford Credit completely disregarded my concern and made no exceptions for me even though they clearly made an error. It is clear that Ford Credit 's on line payment system was incorrect. I do not agree, nor do I think it is fair, for Ford Credit not to work with me to allow me extra time to make my -/-/- payment ( without reporting my -/-/- payment as late ). Their customer service is inadequate and they failed to " resolve '' my issue. I reported an error to them over the phone today, and I am now reporting a notice of error that I expect to be resolved. Just stating that no one else has reported this issue and demanding I make the payment immediately does not constitute resolution. Ford Credit can not display incorrect information on their on line system and expect their customers not to voice a concern or ask for an exception due to their error. This seems to be an unfair and deceptive practice.
