Incorrect information on credit report Account terms New York

There is a - - - credit card on my report that is mine. This account was paid and closed in 2013. There is a balance of $18.00 showing on my report with a past due amount of $17.00. I have contacted - - - and they have said that the account is closed and there is not an outstanding balance even thou I have showed them the report. I would like to resolve this balance but have no idea how I can when - - - insists on the phone that there is n't a balance owed. The info reported by - - - is showing me as past due and this is having a negative effect on my credit.
