Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
I opened a CareCredit account in - of -. I charged my - treatment to the card ( about $3500.00 ) and signed up for automatic payments. I arranged for $120.00 to come out of my checking account each month. I was aware that it was only interest free for 1 year 's time and wanted to pay off at least half of the charges. In -, when the promo period had expired, I realized that CareCredit had been lowering my payment from $120.00 to their minimum payment. Looking back at my records, they began lowering my payment from $120.00 to $91.00 until eventually, $70.00 was being deducted, something I had not authorized. After doing some research, I realized that CareCredit had been ordered to pay $34.00 - in a class action lawsuit in - for that very same reason. I did n't know about the lawsuit at the time I opened the account and if I did, I would 've never opened an account with CareCredit. Now, I am paying $200.00 a month, and it 's as if I never paid anything on my account at all.
