Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
Advertising and marketing Illinois
On -/-/15 I received the following offer from my Paypal MasterCard : " The choice is yours this holiday season - Earn a $25.00 e-gift card when you spend $75.00 or more with your PayPal Extras MasterCard ( R ) now through - -, 2015. * ( Maximum of - $25.00 e-gift card can be earned. ) " I activated the offer & charged $ -+ on my credit card the following day. On -/-/15 I contacted their customer support via email asking when I could expect to receive my e-gift card. First they requested that I forward the email to them with the offer, then they requested I copy & paste the offer in an message to them. After 5 back & forth messages, they told me that I had to call their customer support phone number. Each message from them was from a different person, never the same one twice. I call the phone number I was referred to & after more than 30 minutes, I was told that I had to be transferred to someone else. After another - minutes & telling my story again, I was told that the first person should have helped me & was transferred back. At this point, I told the rep to cancel my credit card & not to send me any further correspondence other than resolving this matter. After nearly 45 minutes with the next rep, I was told that because I had cancelled my credit card, I was no longer eligible for this offer!
