On - I discovered an unknown CareCredit/GECRB account on my credit report. I asked my free union legal services attorney, - - - to dispute the debt. The dispute letter was sent on that same day and on -/-/14, GE Capital Retail Bank responded. Then on -/-/14, - -, -. called me and let me know that she spoke to " - '' at GE collections department and informed her that the debt was a fraud and " - '' promised to send a fraud affidavit. I have never received the fraud affidavit and not - - - is reporting the debt on my credit report. I returned to my legal services office today and when we called GE Capital Retail Bank we were told that Synchrony Bank had sold this disputed account to - - - and could not help me any longer. Now the account is being reported by both - - - and Synchrony Bank and my dispute was ignored.
