Credit monitoring or identity protection Account terms and changes California
I fell for TransUnion Interactive 's Credit Report and Monitoring offer of a $1.00 trial, only to discover that there was no usable information included ( like my credit report ). For that, I had to sign up for another $ -, which I did, naturally with the understanding that I would have full access to all three bureaus ' reports for 30 days. Not only were these SIGNIFICANTLY limited versions of my credit reports ( compared to the free reports from all three agencies I obtained a month ago ), making comparison all but impossible, I learned today that you ca n't actually access them for 30 days if you do n't pay an additional $17.00 within 7 days to continue the initial " membership. '' And of course, there is no refund for this bait and switch ... all I could do was cancel both the membership and the credit report access before I got automatically charged for renewal, and as a result I immediately lost all access to even this limited information. This is a SCAM.
