Auto False statements or representation attempted to collect wrong amount
CarMax, Inc. Debt collection department,
False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount Texas
My deficiency debt from Carmax was assigned to a debt collection agency, - - -. The amount was raised over $3000.00 without any proof of the interest rate or fees from the original contract. I spoke with - - initially and tried to settle this debt but have not been able to maintain any sort of communication with them. I have called multiple times and am told that someone will follow up on this case and call me back. I have also sent email correspondence on these dates ; - - 2015 - - 2015 - - 2015 I have reached out to the creditor, who still holds this debt, multiple times and have not received a single phone call, letter or email. I simply want to take care of this debt and both the creditor and the collection agency has made it near impossible to settle this debt. Since this has been such a hassle I would like to also explore the avenue of the collection agency charging unwarranted fees and interest, as the original contract was deemed null and void upon repossession of the vehicle.
