In - 2015 I set up a settlement with Midland Credit Management ( Midland Funding LLC ) for a debt they bought from - - -. I paid the agreed settlement in - 2015. I received documentation for the settlement agreement and that it had been paid. This company is still reporting this account open to the - credit bureaus. I have disputed this with the credit bureaus and the company still maintains that I have balance due. When I called the company and spoke with Consumer Affairs division, they claim that the Internal Legal department has not notified them the debt has been paid. I have spoken to the Internal Legal department who indicated that the account is closed and there is nothing more they can do for me. In the meantime, this account is still showing open with a balance on my credit reports because even after I provide documents regarding the settlement and that it 's paid from this company. The company keeps reporting differently.
