I have a private and federal loan with Navient, formly - -. Recently, I contacted them to reset my loan amount payments based on my income and to defer the payments since I 'm back in school full time. I was told they can defer payments on the federal student loan for 3 months, but it would cost $50.00. Otherwise, I have to continue to pay $89.00 because I do n't have the option to base the payments off my income with either the federal or private loan which as an additional $100.00 ea month. I 'm confused because this is a new law that was passed regarding school loans. Yet, you contacted this loan providers, and they tell you that you are incorrect. I 've had issues with the company before, and it continues. I 'm currently unemployed, and I 'm back in school -. This company continues to draft payments on - loans each month and threatens if I do n't pay them it will be reported to the credit bureau.
