Equifax 's online system failed to temporarily lift my credit freeze, for both myself and my wife 's accounts using the valid - digit pins we were previously issued. - and - both worked fine the first time. Additionally, Equifax has no alternative options on the weekend to lift the freeze and maintains limited phone support hours during the week. The last time I had to temporarily lift a credit freeze they also mis-managed the situation and made it difficult. Equifax is a poorly run credit bureau and I hope that they will cease conducting business and be replaced with a reasonably well managed and deserving alternative.
