Amex Credit card department,
American Express is not allowing me to make payments to my account. When I have asked why, I have been told - separate things by different chat representatives:1. That there is a thirty day hold after you make your first payment from a new bank account. This is not true, because I have made - payments so far from that account. 2. That you can only make a payment up to your current statement balance. This is not true, because I have already made a larger payment than my current statement balance. 3. That the system sometimes will not allow payments but there 's no reason to explain why. I am disappointed that these - explanations contradict each other, and that none of these were explained in my cardmember agreement.
