I RECEIVED A PREAPPROVAL APPLICATION LETTER FROM BP OIL. WHEN I SUBMITTED MY ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE, I WAS DENIED AND A HARD CREDDIT INQUIRY WAS REPORT TO THE CREDIT BUREAU. I CONTACTED COMPANY REGARDING MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT BECAUSE THE LETTER STATED PREAPPROVED. ALTHOUGH A CREDIT LIMIT WAS NOT DISCLOSED PRIOR TO OPTING TO ACCEPT PREAPPROVED CREDIT CARD OFFER, I WOULD HAVE NEVER INITIATED A CREDIT CARD APPLICATION, IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE STATED PREAPPROVAL ( NOT PREQUALIFIED ). THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT SAID SHE HAD LIMITED INFORMATION TO RESOLVE MATTER AND DOCUMENTED MY CONCERN
