I was offered a no interest account for the purchase of a new heating system by Wells Fargo home projects 2 years ago. I had a lump sum payment due last month that is listed on page - of the statement. Instead of including the payment due in the payment information on the front of the statement they added a small box with the words Special Terms Expiration which did not include any amounts due and of course I did not see. When they calculated the minimum payment they conveniently assumed that I would not pay the lump sum, which resulted in the minimum payment on the front of the statement never changing, again to ensure that the statement would look identical to all of the previous statements. By doing this they managed to sneak the statement past me so they could charge me $5900.00 in interest on the initial purchase price. When I complained about this practice they offered me a 25 % refund of the interest in the amount of $1400.00 if I paid of the entire amount in the next 3 days of $9900.00.
