Incorrect information on credit report Account status California

A derogatory collection account was made on my credit report after original creditor confirmed my insurance company HAD NOT cancelled my policy and they just forgot to bill them. I was told there would be NO collection action or derogatory marks on my credit report yet I now have a delinquent account. I have called Fidelity multiple times to try and get someone to help but they continuously transfer me to OTHER CONSUMERS by accident. The most recent time this happened was TODAY when I was transferred to another consumer named - - who had also been trying to resolve a matter with Fidelity that was very similar to mine. In addition, for the past couple of weeks, I was getting calls and voicemails from a person looking for someone named -. It turns out the person calling me is - and she was looking for Fidelity as well. She was being transferred to me by Fidelity employees.
