Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
I have a Credit Card Account with Care Credit/Synchrony Bank. I opened the account -/-/2014 to get dental work done. In opening the account, payments were supposed to be received on the - of each month. I set up recurring, automatic payments through my bank. These payments were deducted in - increments to pay a minimum of $100.00 per month- at times I paid more. After speaking to a Care Credit representative, I was unaware that the payments being sent needed to be sent during the " cycles '' - which at times, varied based on the month. It was a challenge even understanding their representative explain this concept. At any rate, I was being charged late fees of $35.00 each month they " received my payment late '', but I was still sending my payments every two weeks- just out of the " cycle rhythm. '' I did n't realize how excessive these fees became until reviewing my -/-/- statement. They totaled over $200.00. I called to try to resolve this issue with the disappointing response of " well there 's nothing we can do since it was your error '', or " we can refund - of the
believe that a company as large as Synchrony would n't allow for flexibility with customers such as myself. I feel taken advantage of and vulnerable- when even the representative had a hard time explaining the " cycle ''. They did refund - of the late fees, but $35.00 did n't come anywhere close to what I 've been charged. I 'm extremely disappointed because I would not have even applied for this card if I did n't " have '' to get some dental work done that was out of my budget. I 'm trying to pay them as promised, but the late fees I feel are unfair and hard earned money that they do not deserve. However you can help to resolve this issue, I 'd greatly appreciate it.
