Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
When I purchased hearing aids for $3500.00 from an - provider, I was told that I could receive a one-year, no interest, no minimum payment Care Credit card from Synchrony Bank in that amount. I made an initial payment of $590.00, far in excess of any reasonable minimum monthly payment, and received a subsequent bill with a late fee of $25.00 assessed. It is unclear how there could be a late fee when there was no minimum monthly payment required. When I contacted Synchrony Bank about this, they said a minimum monthly payment is always required, even on no-interest cards for medical equipment. This was not my understanding when I applied for the account. It seems there is a bit of " bait and switch '' here in the terms associated with the account. Synchrony Bank refused to waive the late fee.
