Wells Fargo Consumer loan department,
Vehicle loan Problems when you are unable to pay Maryland
Wells Fargo Dealer Services has consistently denied me opportunities to bring my account current and avoid delinquent charges, harassing phone calls and damage to my credit bureau reports. On several occasions collections and customer service representatives refused to accept reasonable payment offers while demanding payment in full ( several payments + past due charges ). These seemingly institutional denials have caused unnecessarily accruing past due fees and delinquency reporting. I called tonight ( -/-/15 ) to apply for a deferment, which I was denied several times prior because my account was greater than 45 days past due. After describing my situation for several minutes with my customer service representative, - [ not sure of spelling ], she advised me that she would have a supervisor review my account. She returned from an extensive hold to notify me that the supervisor denied my claim because I was only 30 days past due and have greater than 50-months remaining on my loan. I asked if there was formal guidance for her decision, which seemed arbitrary. She transferred me to the collections department. I described my situation again to - in collections, who advised me that she did not think I qualified for
arrangement. Instead he demanded payment in full by end-of-month, most likely to benefit his bonus while sacrificing my further delinquency. Tonight - sounded almost intoxicated while explaining arbitrary reasoning for not considering my request for a deferment. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and was transferred to -. - answered the phone with an abrupt, harsh tone and eventually attempted to justify the reason for the customer service supervisor 's denial. I explained my short-term hardship, which included medical expenses from my wife 's recent -. - responded with the most disturbing statement imaginable, stating that a death would be considered a short-term recoverable situation but not my wife 's - and subsequent periods of unemployment. I nearly choked when I basically heard her say that if my wife had died they might consider a deferment!!! Please listen to tonight 's recorded - minute call beginning at - EST.
