Aside from receiving calls from - of Midland 's - phone numbers frequently, they were dishonest about an agreement we reached. I was led to believe that by paying the alleged debt in full that their trade account would be removed from my credit reports. That 's the reason I paid the debt in full. After making payment, I called to confirm that the trade line would be removed from my credit reports. They stated they no such agreement was made, and that they do n't do that sort of thing. I could have paid 25-50 % of the debt balance as a settlement if they were n't going to remove it from my credit report. They conned me into thinking they would uphold their end of the bargain, but it was all lies. They also sent paperwork showing that I only paid $590.00, but the check I attached clearly shows a payment of $730.00.
