Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
-/-/-, Synchrony Bank/JCP called our home landline since I was n't able to make a payment on my card that was due on -/-/-. My husband answered the phone. The person he spoke with gave him my JCP credit card account information without my permission even if he knows that he is not a joint or authorized user of my credit card. As far as I know, it is unfair business practice and that they are not allowed to give my credit card information to my husband. And that they violated my privacy. They also collected a payment from him on my behalf without my knowledge. Whenever I called customer service, I have to authenticate myself on the automated system before I can get information. And I have to authenticate myself again to the agent that I 'm talking to before they can give me information to make sure that I am the account owner. What if the person who answer the phone is just pretending to be my husband, then my information got compromised.
