I applied for a Sam 's Club store credit card, but received approval for a Sam 's Club Master Card. I do not want a Master card for Sam 's. I spoke to several people at Synchrony Bank - - ) and was told that I could not have a Sam 's Club store credit card because Synchrony Bank no longer issues them. According to Synchrony 's website, a Sam 's store credit card ( for use at Sam's/Walmart only ) is offered. Since I was only offered the Master Card for Sam 's Club, I canceled my application. I do n't want a Master Card. If I did, I would apply for -. It makes me very angry that a bank, any bank, would force me to have a type of credit card that I do n't want, just to be able to shop at a specific store. I have sent a copy of this message to Synchrony Bank and Sam 's Club.
