Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
Synchrony Bank ( Wal-Mart ) is the subject of this complaint. On several occasions ( all calls were recorded on my end, in consideration of Missouri law ), Synchrony Bank has received payments, collected the funds and then not applied them to my account. Eventually, after a week of ( post collected ) funds they will post it, but not apply it to the available credit. They say, that they do not like that I make multiple payments per month to pay down the account. I pay the account in several installments to avoid accruing interest. I will be charged interest on funds they received and have collected, even though they have received the payment. There has never been a later payment. There has never been an over the limit situation, there has never been a returned payment. My account is also on auto pay in addition to what in addition I pay each month. Usually, about - to - payments each month, depending on my income for that month and how much the card is used. I pay all of my credit the same way, no other financial institution has an issue with how many payments are made each month. The goal of synchrony is to unlawfully collect interest on a debt based upon the unpaid daily balance in-spite of having the payment from the consumer and thereafter having evidence the payment cleared and still collecting interest unlawfully.
