Credit card Taking/threatening an illegal action Threatened to sue on too old debt Florida

I had a prior case with - - and I tried numerous times at your request to try and work with them. They wanted more than I was able to afford for payments. They over talk you and interrupt if you tell them it is unreasonable. They even threatened on occasion. Now they sold my file to Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC and even though - told me it was written off the amount has grown even larger. I emailed my situation to them and they did there investigation and decided I have to pay them. I still do n't know why - would n't work with Debt Helpers knowing that they would have been paid in full but at a lower interest rate. Every credit card did work with them and the mortgage got modified despite them. Do I have to pay this other company now? I read about them and they like to sue people.
