Continental Finance is charging me a $5.00 fee per month on a closed account, i.e. of the $35.00 I pay per month, $5.00 is some kind of account maintenance fee, unrelated to interest charges. I do n't know if this is legal. I live in Iowa. Payments are always made on time. A statement is attached, showing the charge. They only have the past - statements available online ; I estimate that there are - or - such payments
