My son and I received the - Mortgage Interest Statement-Form - from Suntrust Mortgage , Inc. We noted in Block # - that it reported $5200.00 as Mortgage interest received from payer/borrower. '' We noted that the - Mortgage Interest Statement reported $4700.00. After making all payments in - and the principal on the loan reducing, we do not understand how the interest paid increased from - to - when the principal decreased. By letter dated - -, - to Suntrust Mortgage Inc., I requested a complete and detailed explanation as to why the interest paid on the loan increased when the principal decreased. So far no response! Phone calls to Suntrust have been unproductive.
