During the refinancing of my home I was made aware of a debt that was outstanding. they called to get the amount that was owed by me to national Credit adjust. After being given the amount due a check was cut to satisfy the debt. I made repeated calls to get the address of where to send the Check and got nowhere. - - would not return my calls and when he did would not provide me any info on what the debt was from or what my information he had about me in file. He said I should pay it and i was lucky that he does n't have it sent to his legal department. I called back again a week ago with my loan officer and left word. He again did not call us back. We called again today and he said the balance due was now - higher that it was when we contacted them initially. He would not honor the payoff amount and would not provide any documentation.
