Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer received bad information about my loan
AES/PHEAA Student loan department,
Non-federal student loan Dealing with my lender or servicer Received bad information about my loan New Mexico
I have had a private student loan with your company since -/-/- and for 7 years, never had a late payment. I recently discovered that I had a 30 day late mark for my -/-/- payment. I also received a collection notice from - - for the entire balance of my loan. My mother has had these payments for this particular loan since it originated and from what I understand, the loan was on autopay. My mother, - - -, was able to get the balance on the co-signed loan up to date in -/-/- but not without consequence. My mother 's and my credit report and score suffered significant damage from this negative remark due to the late payment. What I am asking of your company is to consider our prior history of on time payments and remove the negative remark on both of our reports across each of the three major credit bureaus ( -, - and - ). My credit score dropped about - points and I make it a point to ensure my payments on time. Part of my good faith effort to reconcile this issue is to update my contact with our company so I may be able to monitor this account more closely in case my mother is not able to make a payment.
