Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
Purchased goods at Sam 's Club ( Walmart ) on -/-/2015 for $100.00. It was posted to the Sam 's Club Mastercard the same day. I returned goods totaling $83.00 on-/-/2015. The credit has not posted as of -/-/2015. Given it is Friday it wo n't post until next week. The store Manager does not have access to the information but suggests it may take 1-2 weeks to post. By delaying the posting of the credit to my account and thousands, perhaps - of customers, Walmart 's is enjoying - of dollars in UNDUE ENRICHMENT '' for using someone else 's money. This is unethical, if not illegal, behavior. Consumers are being victimized in several ways : ** Excessive interest charges caused by the delayed posting, most cards charge interest based average balances. Credits are not back dated to day of purchase. ** Loss of available credit under the line ** Overstates customer 's account balances to credit reporting companies which may adversely impact their credit score
